Six Star Whey Protein & Pre-Workout N.O. Fury

Yesterday I picked up some of Six Star's Whey Protein Plus, well, because of the free tee that came with it. I also picked up their Pr-Workout N.O. Fury, because $9 is worth experimentation.

In studies whey protein taken an hour before workout and an hour after workout increased muscle size and strength. It also is great for reducing hunger and aiding in losing weight while preserving muscle. If that's not enough, it may help fight certain types of cancer including prostrate and colon. Studies in the Netherlands have shown whey protein eliminates stress and lifts depression. Awesome stuff huh? Males doing aerobic activities have been shown to have significant reduction in glutathione. This affects nervous, gastrointestinal and immune systems. Whey protein has been shown to reduce loss of glutathione.

I use a Ninja blender to whip up the following smoothie:

1 Banana

1 Handful of Almonds
2-3 Scoops of Greek Yogurt
Ice
2-3 Cups Milk
1 Handful of Blueberries
1 Scoop of Whey Protein Plus

You should have enough for an hour before and an hour after your workout. I've been working out now only into my second week. I've had my diet seriously altered for about a month - lots of veggies and fruits going into the blender and usually rice and fish or avocado and egg for dinner. I've dropped 17 lbs just doing this. This is me today:

I just got finished with my bodyweight training routine. I dosed on Six Star's N.O. Fury about 30-45 minutes before starting - 3 pills. Honestly guys, I was freaking nervous. Back in the day before Hydroxycut removed ephedra I about OD'd on that schijt. I kicked my serious caffeine habit a couple weeks back - I went through a 7-day headache, so I was glad that N.O. Fury didn't have caffeine. I had read mixed reviews - a lot loved it, some complained of rapid heart rate, which is exactly what I was freaked about.

So, I feel it kicking in - not sure what I felt, a bit nervous and a bit altered. Perhaps a mild flushing of the face. I started my routine and definitely noticed that muscle bulging tightness. My concentration on form was better. I felt good, but I still hate lunges. I don't have a heart rate monitor yet, but my pulse seems normal. So, it gets a thumbs up from me. I plan to continue with it and will keep the blog updated!

Hope you guys are kicking ass out there.
